I know I haven't been on here in forever, but I had to report to whoever might still be around that my husband will be home from his year long deployment very soon!! It's been a wild ride, especially the last week as the owner of the house we were living in needed it back and we had to move out very quickly. I should say I had to move out - he's not even back yet - but I found a beautiful home that the twins and I love, and all my friends say is awesome, and it's been worth all the hard work. I hope he's pleasantly surprised this weekend!! :)
I'm headed to bed as I'm EXHAUSTED...and thanking the Lord he will be home soon.

YAYYYYY!!! PRAISE GOD!!! I was thinking about your recently and wondering if he would be returning soon! :)
I have been reading and enjoying your blog - and this last entry particularly reminded me of the homecomings I felt so privileged to witness (I was working on a documentary about military chaplains -- which, incidentally, includes a small segment on chaplains' families). We owe our men and women in uniform as well as their families so very much.

Hey, I'm still out here, reading! Glad your family is back together. Enjoy and celebrate. Praise the Lord.
God Bless You!
I am an aspiring Air Force chaplain, and I have been looking for blogs from chaplains from all the branches! Prayerfully I will get to meet your husband in the field someday. God Bless!!!
I'm so excited for you! I know it's been a looonnng year, and I have really missed your writing too :)
Now that he is home, I hope you will start posting again. You don't know me, but I have missed your blog. I have reason to believe that your hubby was probably my hubby's nephew's chaplain. :) I've always enjoyed your insight into military life....
Woo Hoo! :) So excited for you guys! That was a nice "surprise" to have to move right before homecoming. Wow! Thanks for keeping us posted. I pray it's a beautiful reunion for you all!
Hi Laura!
Totally off-topic from your post, I just want you to know that I gave you a blog award. Come on over to get it. :)

I'm considering a career as an Army Chaplain. How much time has you husband been away from you and the family during his career?
Peace,
Luke
