I read some of your blog last year after my husband said he thought the Lord was calling him to be a chaplain in the army. Then, he quit talking about it....now, he's sure this is the route we're supposed to take. So, for the last few days, i have read your ENTIRE blog! I have enjoyed every moment of it. Thanks so much for clarifying a lot of questions i had.The army isn't taking on as many chaplains as they used to, so if you could, please pray for us in this new adventure. It's not guaranteed he'll get in, but if the Lord is for us, who can be against us?You're gifted at writing and i hope you continue to blog frequently.
Amy,WOW!!...the ENTIRE blog??? I will be praying! Just always remember, if it is the Lord calling him, HE will provide the way!
I spent the last year and a half talking with military chaplains for my book, Miracles and Moments of Grace (Leafwood, 2011). In it, the chaplains tell 50 stories that demonstrate God's grace in the lives of our military. Amy and Laura, you both might appreciate these stories. You can read a few on them online on the book's Amazon page: http://tinyurl.com/6zn3c99 I love my chaplains! Thank you for your family's service, Laura, and soon yours, Amy.
