Short & Sweet

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has been praying for us during this time of preparation. I won't lie - it's not easy. Work is very tiring right now, as we're finishing up a project, and I want to spend as much time as I can with my husband, so I wish for the weekends, and then when I think about the fact that the weekend means it's one week closer to his deployment I feel bad for wishing the weekdays away.

I appreciate the prayers very much. God is good. We're strong in Him and continue to trust Him and His plans. My husband and I just continue to grow closer to the Lord and each other. I wouldn't trade some of the wonderful talks we've had over the last few months. God is faithful and I know He will meet every need in the weeks and months and years to come.

Thanks again! You all are a blessing!

I have paused and said a prayer for you and your family. May your time together be precious. Please continue to remember Jeremy... he will be released and coming home the first week of august. It will be a year that he has been overseas. His wife misses him and we miss him and the threat of north korea has me alittle worried but I know that God is in control and if He watches over the sparrow - He will watch over our men on foreign soil. -Laurie

Laurie - I will continue to pray! Seeing that he is coming home in August makes me realize that the time Kevin is away may go by fast...

Laura,

Thank you. Really, thank you for posting the reality of a chaplains wife... the happy and the sad... the excitements and the dull. As we prepare for CH-BOLC I seek to get a peek into what life will be like. I will continue to pray for you.

I am praying for you and Kevin right now. May God richly bless both of you. May He give You His strength for each day ahead. May He guard you in the shadows of His wings.

I just found your blog again after not reading for quite a while. I will be praying for you as you prepare for your husband's upcoming deployment.

My husband is a chaplain also. We're stationed in Germany and he's due home soon from his deployment of 13+ months.
